In Recognition of La Befana- Win an Amazon Gift Card!

According to Italian tradition, La Befana comes tonight. For the unfamiliar, La Befana is (roughly) the Italian equivalent of Santa Claus. One of the major differences between the two figures is that La Befana delivers her presents on Epiphany Eve (Jan. 5th). In recognition of this uniquely Italian gift-giving occasion, ItalianAware giving away a present- a $10 Amazon gift card. Here is how you can win it:

1. Invite some of your friends to our facebook group. Tell them to join our facebook group AND to “like” us on www.ItalianAware.com.
2. Email us a list of the friends that you invited (suggestions@italianaware.com)

Once we get the 100^th person to “like” us, we will compare it to the list of friends you provided. If your friend is the 100^th “like” AND a member of the group on facebook, you win a $10 Amazon gift card. The gift card can be emailed or mailed to you- it is the winner's choice.

It's that simple. No gimmicks, no strings attached.

Some ground rules:

-There can only be one winner. The event officially ends when a winner is named.

-The 100^th “like” is actually going to be “like” # 124- (we currently have 24 likes on our website)

-Administrators of ItalianAware are not eligible

-We will never use, sell or profit from your friends information in ANY way. The lists will be used for comparison and deleted. We take your privacy and your friends privacy very seriously.

Notes on ties and exceptions:

-A “tie” only occurs when the 100^th “like” is shared by multiple participants.

-If and only if a tie occurs, a “tie-breaker” will take place. The “tie-breaker” will be a creative short story (no more than 500 words) on an Italian topic of the participant's choosing. Writings will be judged on clarity, creativity and originality.

-In the event that the 100^th “like” is not a member of the facebook group, we will award the card to the next eligible “like” beginning with “like” #101.
