Meet The Capones Cast Members

Uncle Al

You know what it means when you're an Italian organization and the cast of The Capones hates you? It means you're doing your job. Last week, we wrote about how the show is literally the bottom of the Italian stereotype barrel. The Reelz show follows the alleged descendants of Al Capone as they manage their Chicago based restaurant.

Since writing that article, we were alerted to the show's facebook posts. They are the the most atrocious and offensive posts on the internet. Not just offensive to Italians - offensive to any one with a brain. Here are some of the low-lights:

Picutred: Italian Stereotype Hell

The Capones facebook posted the above over the course of a few weeks. In our opinion, the weekly Mob Cookbook posts, create a gangster nickname game and the post about Al Capone's mansion were the most appalling. All of this lead us to screencap their facebook and tweet the following to Reelz Channel:

This then caused Dominic Capone to respond with, what could be, the most unintelligent comment ever:

Huh?

If you're wondering what any of that means, you're not alone. Apparently, after years of Political Science classes on Italian/Roman history, Dominic has decided that Italians have no heritage to protect. Why do we have no heritage to protect? Because we were gladiators who killed each other and cut off heads for the crowd. I must have missed that day in college.

But, just when we thought we couldn't receive a more unintelligent comment - his fellow cast member responded to us:

I think Dominic and Bart were in the same Political Science classes. Dominic thinks Italians have no heritage and Bart thinks Sicily isn't part of Italy. Welcome to the carnival boys and girls!

It should be noted that Bart made this comment after posting this Vine video, where it is painfully obvious that he's wearing an "Italia" jersey.

 Look familiar?

Exhibit A

But, the insanity doesn't end there. Dominic Capone didn't want to lose this battle of wits to his fellow cast member, so he responded with this:

Again - huh?

This tweet does not follow any of the prior conversation. After days of contemplation, we think we know what this tweet means. Dominic is trying to theoretically prove that we have no integrity as an organization because we would theoretically cash a check from him if he theoretically sent it. We think he learned this logic from Plato's Republic...but, it could be Socrates too.

It really seems like the cast does not know how to use social media. In an unrelated event, cast member Staci Richter verbally attacked a 72 year old woman who is legitimately related to Al Capone, for no apparent reason.

The comment (and grammar) speaks for itself.

Let's see what next week brings from this sorry lot.
